Some really great songs like ‚Lights Of New York', Sin City' or 'Don't Stop' proof it, that

Barikada Magazine, Jugoslavia
"Walking On Sunshine", "True Love" and "Sin City" are some of the tracks which certainly
deserves again listening. This is a band with respectable quality, recommendable for all
followers of AOR genre...
A songs itself posses evident hit potential, and all of them sustain a strong melody.
I would also add that the Anglo/Swiss band posses something of old-school charm, typical
for the first and second generation of AOR acts. "Walking On Sunshine", "True Love" and
"Sin City" are some of the tracks which certainly deserves again listening. This is a band
with respectable quality, recommendable for all followers of AOR genre...

This new FACE FACE record. Especially opener "Lights of New York" is a stunning 80s
AOR rocker (a la AVIATOR!) with a superb chorus to sing-a-long with. The CD sounds
very polished and clearly aimed at the fans of 80 AOR/Melodic Rock, whom will celebrate
a party after hearing that fantastic first song. AOR insiders know this might be something
worth checking out and I would certainly do so, because there are some AOR winners on
this new FACE FACE record. Especially opener "Lights of New York" is a stunning 80s AOR
rocker (a la AVIATOR!) with a superb chorus to sing-a-long with. The CD sounds very
polished and clearly aimed at the fans of 80 AOR/Melodic Rock, whom will celebrate a party
after hearing that fantastic first song. The other 9 songs are also strong AOR/Melodic Rock-
songs like "Walking on sunshine", "Don't stop", "Close your eyes", "White rose" and "It's not
the end". The band has a very impressive melodic lead singer (Mervyn Spence) who can
easily reach the high notes. Anyone who likes PHILIP BARDOWELL, PLACE VENDOME,
BRUCE TURGON, BLANC FACES, etc. should also check out this great independent release
which also offers high quality 80s AOR/Melodic Rock. There's definitely more sensational
stuff coming out of Switzerland than GOTTHARD, which is showed on this FACE FACE
disc! (Points: 8.6 out of 10)

This is top-notch AOR/melodic rock! Harmonies everywhere. Any self-respecting AOR fan
seriously needs to get this disc. It's incredibly solid.
This one arrived unexpectedly, and I'm glad it did! This album is basically the predecessor
to Purple Cross, which I reviewed about a year ago. I enjoyed that album quite a bit, but I
'm enjoying this album oh so much more! This is top-notch AOR/melodic rock! Harmonies
everywhere. I still find cliches everywhere in the writing, but it doesn't seem to bother me as
much on this album (then again a year has passed since I reviewed Purple Cross; perhaps
I owe it another serious listen). The songs seem to grab me more on this album than the
followup. Production/mix is first rate, and there's plenty of material to tap your toes to. The
title cut is a first-rate ballad, and (this is going to sound weird) the lead vocalist reminds me
a little bit like George Michael on that track (I mean that as a compliment). Plenty of
keyboards throughout, but not overdone. Most of the songs are uptempo pieces. Stylistically
I'm reminded of Fair Warning, but without the bombast. I hope this album doesn't get
overlooked due to distribution (I'm not sure where in the states you can pick this one up),
but any self-respecting AOR fan seriously needs to get this disc. It's incredibly solid. Purple
Cross has a new album coming out late this year, and I'm definitely looking forward to it!

POWERPLAY MAGAZINE U.K
What you basically get is keyboard dominated AOR of the good kind as the likes of
"Up To You" and "Two Of Us" will testify.
Once again we get another assured performance from Mervyn Spence and the
musicianship and remastering is second to none. Such a band as talent as good as
this should not be ignored. Check them out!
